Sally MacDonell

Sally MacDonell

Pilates Teacher, Older Adult Specialist

Teaching is my passion and my love of fitness transformed into the vehicle to help people improve their health and wellness. Having taught for over 20 years, I have become fascinated and truly inspired by the small increments in progress that I see clients making, one cell of their body at a time. Breaking down each movement to meet each client’s needs allows me to see the look of accomplishment in their eyes and the smiles on their faces as we progress to each new level. Fun and fitness go hand in hand. I strive to include activation of the laughing muscles as a key to success.

Kat Eickmeier

Kat Eickmeier

Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher

I have always loved trying new things and have participated in various forms of movement, from weight lifting and martial arts to contortion and pole dancing. After a shoulder injury in 2014, I was motivated to improve my anatomical knowledge to find the safest and most efficient way to return to the strength and mobility I originally had. After discovering Pilates in 2018, I finally started seeing progress with my shoulder and found my entire body moved more freely.

Since then, I have become passionate about exploring the feeling of freedom through movement and received my National Pilates Teaching Certificate.

I strive to support my students through the barriers that prevent them from enjoying exercise and give them the confidence to move on their own in both conventional and unconventional ways.

Rebecca Swick

Rebecca Swick

Yoga Teacher

My journey with yoga began at a young age. Originally it was the physical poses that brought me to my mat, but I soon felt the gentle shifts yoga could create in my life off my mat. My practice has challenged me to focus on the present moment, grow stronger, calmer, and more self-aware and become in tune with the connection between the body, the brain, and the mind. I am passionate about living holistically. I use my background as an Occupational Therapist with the soulful, spiritual, and mindful aspects of yoga to encourage others to feel happy and healthy in their lives.

Karen Gemmel

Karen Gemmel

Yoga Teacher

I began practicing yoga in January of 1996. In the fall of 2003, I completed, with Honor of Distinction, an intensive 500-hour teacher training program at the Yoga Centre of Burlington, a recognized Yoga Alliance training facility. I continue to deepen my knowledge of the practice by attending workshops and classes led by senior teachers. I practice and teach a traditional style of yoga which utilizes props for modification to make poses accessible to students of all ages and abilities. Yoga props are used to support the body in restorative poses, and assist you to move into a posture you may not yet be flexible enough to manage on your own.
